At the Modern Language Association (MLA) awards last week, JNCL-NCLIS member American Translators Association (ATA) hosted a panel discussion entitled “Translation and Interpreting: Flexible Career Paths in Vulnerable Times”. The roundtable, which included JNCL-NCLIS executive director Dr. William Rivers, focused on the career paths available to linguists and the relevant skills necessary to succeed in the field. Below you can find the presentation given at the panel and the portal for MLA members to view the session background and survey.
